The BoTu Servetje project is a 5 month long action/research which explores the question of neighborhood-scale technology. It takes place in Bospolder Tussendijken (BoTu), Rotterdam and is subsidised by the Open Oproep 2022.
The project is initiatied by Sándor Csenki & Luke Murphy, 2 members of Solisoft, a new technology collective set up this year. Sándor has been active in the neighbourhood for many years and Luke has just moved to Tussendijken. We’re interested in exploring the role of technology in society with a focus on accessibility & local relevance.
We want to ask the question: What can neighborhood-scale technology mean for us as a community? What does it look like? In conversation with local initiatives, such as the Bollenpandje, Veerkrachthuis, Huis van de Toekomst, BoTu Redactieteam and the ABCD movement, we aim to understand what are the current needs in the neighbourhood in terms of digital tools.
